Access to the Ambermex app’s emergency features, answered by our monitoring center, for the people listed in your purchase (the account holder and up to 5 additional travelers), for 7, 30 or 90 days.
Coverage applies only within the territory of Mexico. There is no monitoring service in the United States, Canada or any other country. Alerts sent from outside Mexico are not attended.
Coverage starts on the date and time your payment is confirmed and ends 7, 30 or 90 days later, according to the plan you chose. The start and end dates are shown in the app and in your confirmation email. It does not renew automatically. We email the account holder before it ends with a link to buy a new period, which starts on the day it is paid.
When an emergency alert is sent from the app, our monitoring center receives and records it, contacts you (in English or Spanish), contacts the emergency contacts you registered, and notifies the competent local authorities when appropriate.
It does not coordinate or direct operations with the authorities (notifying is giving notice; dispatch and action are entirely up to the authorities), send personnel, dispatch patrols or guards, or provide physical protection. It does not replace 911 or any emergency service. Ambermex is a technology platform; it is not a private security company.
We do not guarantee a specific response time or result. Attention depends on the alert reaching us, which depends on your internet connection, your device and third-party services.
Prices are in US dollars and are charged once, by card, through Stripe. Your bank may apply currency conversion or international fees.
Write to contacto@tecnologiasamber.com. Refunds are reviewed case by case. If a refund is issued, coverage for every traveler in that purchase ends at that moment.
Each person signs in to the app with the phone number registered in the purchase. You are responsible for the numbers you register belonging to the people traveling with you and for having their consent.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ambermex is not liable for damages arising from unavailability of the service, non-delivery or delay of an alert, what the notified authorities do or fail to do or how long they take, failures of your device, network or power, or criminal acts or accidents. Except for willful misconduct or gross negligence, our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the purchase.
Each traveler can keep in the app a copy of their travel documents (passport, visa or immigration form, driver’s license, insurance policy, reservations or others) to view or share them if they lose them. The copy is a convenience: it does not replace the original documents or any official document, and Ambermex does not certify or validate its content. Each copy opens only for the person who saved it, with their phone’s lock (face, fingerprint or passcode), and the monitoring center never sees it. Copies are kept while the traveler’s account exists, even after the coverage ends; the traveler can delete them at any time in the app, and they are deleted when the traveler deletes their account. Each traveler is responsible for saving only their own documents or those of people who have authorized them.
Travelers can enter their itinerary in the app: where they stay, their flights and their trips by road. Everyone in the purchase can see and edit it. If a traveler sends an emergency alert, the monitoring center sees where they are staying that day and their next flight or road trip; the itinerary is what the traveler entered, not their live location.
At key moments of the itinerary (the night they arrive at each place to stay, a few hours after each flight or road trip arrives, after several days of travel without any other moment, and when the coverage ends) the app asks the traveler whether everything is OK. When they confirm, the app takes one location reading, never continuous tracking, and compares it with the city of that day’s lodging and, after a flight or road trip, also with the destination airport or city they entered. Ambermex does not check flight status with the airlines: the question is based on the arrival time the traveler entered. Being in another city is not an alarm: the app asks whether their plans changed. If there is no answer, the traveler receives a reminder after 12 hours; after 24 hours their emergency contacts are notified and, on the 90-day plan only, the monitoring center as well, which may call them.
Check-ins are a support tool, not surveillance or a guarantee: they depend on the traveler keeping their itinerary up to date and on notifications reaching their phone, which depends on their internet connection, their device and third-party services. Not answering a check-in is not an emergency alert; to ask for help, the traveler must use the app’s emergency button.
Personal data is processed according to our Privacy Notice (Spanish, legally binding · English courtesy translation). During an alert or a shared trip, your location is shared with the monitoring center and with the people you choose. Emergency calls may be recorded for audit purposes.
